Today is death anniversary of Sindh Cricket Team player Gulabrai Ramchandani. He was born on 26th July 1927 in Karachi in a Sindhi speaking family. He was an important player of the cricket team of Sindh before partition.

He made his first-class debut for Sindh against Maharashtra in the 1945–46 Ranji Trophy. He represented Sindh in two more first-class matches. After partition, he became member of Indian cricket team and played in 33 Test matches between 1952 and 1960. In his only series as captain, he led India to its first win against Australia.

He passed away on 8th September 2003.
