Today marks the Birth Anniversary of Abdul Karim Pali, a distinguished poet and eminent social reformer. He was born on the 21st of August, 1940, in the village of Atta Muhammad Pali, situated in the Taluka of Umer Kot. His literary journey commenced in 1958 when he penned his initial poems. His creations, encompassing Kalams, Kafis, and Ghazals, have gained widespread admiration throughout the region of Sindh. Renowned vocalists including Ustad Manzoor Ali Khan, Abida Perveen, Senghar Ali Saleem, Dhol Faqir, and others have lent their voices to his verses. Two volumes of his poetic collections, namely “چنڊ جھڙا پرين” and “ڪيا سانگ سانوڻ,” have been published, along with his book dedicated to Sindhi Kafies titled “وڻجارن وايون.”

He was a landlord in the Umerkot District and served as the Chairman of the Union Council of Atta Muhammad Pali in 1967. Additionally, he was elected as a member of the Sindh Assembly in both 1970 and 1976. His life’s journey came to an end on the 4th of November, 1991.
